Celebrating the classic cars and events of the "Golden Era" of Australian Rallying...
With only two weeks to go last minute preparations are in being undertaken and strategies are being fine tuned. The excitement builds and Bob and his crew are finalising what will be an event to remember for a lifetime! Go to the official website at: www.redcentretogoldcoasttrial.com.au for all of the last minute details.
Round 5 of the Victorian Rally Championship (VRC) "The Performance Exhaust Murrindindi Magic" has an early bird entry fee of only $300! To be eligible entries must be received by October 1 2008. This is exceptional value given the normal entry fees for VRC rounds and hopefully this will entice a full field for the event. The standard fee is also a bargain at only $350!
The supplementary regulations and entry form are now available for the VRC round 5 - "The Performance Exhaust" 2008 Murrindindi Magic. Please go to 2008 events and click on the Murrindindi Page. At the bottom you will find the regs and entry form.
Only three weeks to go for those lucky HRA competitors who have decided to take up the challenge of the Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial. Bob Watson gave a brief status report at last weeks general meeting and as many as 45 HRA members will make up a large percantage of the 75 strong field. Many other members are also participating as service crew members, officials and assistants.
JIm Webster and his able team are hard at work organising the 2008 Noojee Knightrider Touring Road Event. Proudly sponsored by "Water Save Plumbing" more information about this event is now available - just go to 2008 events page.
A reminder to all members (and friends) that the HRA will be conducting its next general meeting on Wednesday 13th August at 8.00pm. The normal venue is the East Malvern RSL in Stanley Grose Drive melways map 60 Ref A12.
We have created a page under 2008 Events for the Murrindindi Magic. For all the latest news on this terrific event please go directly to the page via 2008 Events.
With the Red Centre to Gold Coast Trial now only a month away, preparation is well underway for crews and organisers alike. A couple of crews still require navigators (last minute re-shuffles) and this is an opportunity of a lifetime. So if you are not doing anything for a couple of weeks, why not jump on board and experience the outback like never before!
John has been kind enough to send us some more photos of HRA members in action. This time they are of the recent PCCV Ivans Folly event. John got drenched taking these shots as he was standing very close to the water splash! Go to Galleries and click on the new gallery titled-"HRA members in Action 2008". Thanks once again john - hope you got all the mud out of the camera!
As most of you would know, it is a requirement that each competitor must officiate on an event at least once a year to be eligible to continue competing in events.
