George Woods/Gil Davis Memorial gets GREEN light!

The 2009 Gil Davis Memorial will be a Multi-Club non-special stage closed road event and will be the second round of the HRA Rally Championship. The event will run as a night rally over one division and will incorporate navigational content in keeping with the trials and rallies that were held in the 80s. Please note that roll over protection and helmets are compulsory for this event. The HRA’s Gil Davis Memorial (GDM) will run concurrently with the PCCV’s George Woods Memorial Trial (GWM), using common roads and common route instructions up to the point at which the GWM ends so that eligible crews with eligible cars can compete in both by paying the higher entry fee.

The 2009 event sees Rob Bride and Glad Fish as joint Clerks of Course ably assisted by Richard Elphick and Nick Wright.

The event this year will use many concepts that competitors have enjoyed in the past. We will try to minimise, so far as possible, the need for navigators to take their travel sickness pills by using a variety of roads. Arrangements are in place for the start and finish at the Neerim Memorial Hall. The total event distance is likely to be in the vicinity of 200 kilometres with approximately 140 kilometres competitive.

Supplementary Regulations and the entry form are now available. See below attachments.

We look forward to seeing you on the afternoon/evening of Saturday 2nd of May.
