Launch of Rallycross

As you will probably by now be aware, the HRA committee has decided on behalf ofthe club, to support the return of Rallycross at the Broadford Motorcycle Complex. Construction of the gravel sections of the Rallycross track has commenced and the time has now come for you to indicate your interest and/or preparedness to be involved in the venture.

The purpose of this post is to invite you to the launch of Rallycross at the Broadford State Motorcycling complex on Thursday May 21 between 11.00 am and 2.00 pm. This function will announce the running of Rallycross at Broadford bythe HRA to invitees including potential sponsors and competitors, CAMS officials, Motorcycling Victoria officials and other interested parties.

After a brief welcome by Rallycross Australia, Motorcycling Victoria and CAMS officials, a small number of selected potential competitors, with their cars,will be invited to drive the Rallycross course in order to give feedback to the organisers. All other attendees will be invited for rides around the track aspassengers in four wheel drive cars driven by HRA members. Proceedings will finish with a low key barbecue. Rally cars for a static display would be very welcome.

If you wish to attend the launch as a general attendee, bring your rally car along as part of the static display or own a 4WD and wish to help with the trackrides, please advise Bob Watson via email at: admin AT

NOTE: places are limited and you must put in an RSVP to reserve your place

The venue is approximately one hour’s drive from Melbourne CBD. Head north onthe Hume freeway, take the Broadford Strath Creek exit (look for Rallycrosssignage) and turn right towards Strath Creek. The Motorcycle Complex isapproximately 1 km on the right.

The second and equally important purpose of this email is to start a register ofpeople willing to help as officials at Rallycross meetings. If you are interested please go to the following web page and submit your details;

This is a big new venture for the HRA and we need your support so that we canrun Rallycross at a high standard, like we do with all our best events!
