The Presidential Tour 2009 is on Sunday 6th December.

The President (and Mr President) have devised a Sunday drive for your enjoyment. The first half of the Presidential Tour will keep you occupied using Broadbents maps and the latter half of the event should see you relaxed and enjoying the countryside.

Stuart Lister and his dedicated team of officials have been working form months and months to bring us the best rally in the country. With over 100 entrants the Yokohama Alpine Rally will once again prove to be the best run and most popular rally in the country. It looks like its going to be a very hot weekend (weather wise) and this will just add to the testing nature of this fantastic event.

The HRA President Kate Officer has organised a pleasant Sunday drive for you. Approximately 200 Kms of which 50km is excellent gravel. Starting in Epping and finishing at the Grand Hotel, Yarra Glen. Those interested can find the Supplementary Regulations and entry form: HERE.

The Yokohama Alpine Rally is now only 10 days away and official scrutineering will be held at Traction Tyre Centre in Kellets Road Rowville next Saturday. Competitors should have received their Further Regulations along with the official starting list for Friday's Prologue and further instructions. If you haven't got them please contact the organisers directly.

Ford V8 Supercar champion Steven Richards is to drive the ex Ford works RS 1800 BDA Escort - IYK 000 at the media day for this years Yokahama Alpine Rally. Other notables will be Jeff David in his Porsche 911, Wayne Bell in a Fiat Arbath and the 07 winner Darryn Snooks in his potent Datsun Stanza. Last Saturday saw the running of the HRA Bagshot rallysprint. A full field of some 58 cars entered the event with the winners being Mike Conway and Jenny Cole in the Powerplay Escort. Second home were Dinta and Kate Officer in their trusty Mitsubishi Colt Galant and third were Darryn Snooks and Matt de Vaus in the Snooks Motorsport Ford Escort.

Rob Cranston and his team have been hard at work putting together a great event that will be the final chapter for this years HRA championship. To be run at the Bendigo Car Club's Bagshot complex, the event has been fully subscribed and a great day on Saturday should be had by all.
